social reasons
Now, the social aspect of San Antonio’s growth isn’t to be forgotten. San Antonio is known as the battle site of the famously known Battle of the Alamo. Without this historical importance, much less people would have supported the development of San Antonio, preferring for Austin or Houston to be developed. Even more so, much less people would have lived in San Antonio as they were influenced by the history of San Antonio. Without this population, San Antonio would have been considered a normal city, and the Galveston, Harrisburg, and San Antonio Railways would have, probably, been built through a different city. Without the social impact San Antonio had on the people, San Antonio would be far less developed than it is today.
